Rachel Barth, CAE has over 19 years of experience in various roles in the media industry. Rachel currently works as the Magazine and Creative Director at the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) since September 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Creative Director at MOAA starting in September 2016.

Before joining MOAA, Rachel worked at the American Road & Transportation Builders Association from May 2016 to August 2016 as the Visual Editor & Director of Design.

From March 2007 to April 2016, Rachel worked at Sightline Media Group as a Product Designer.

Rachel started their career at The Examiner in 2002 as the Assistant Managing Editor for Production, where they managed the production desk of the daily Washington and Baltimore newspapers. Rachel also served as the fashion editor of the daily section.

Rachel Barth, CAE, holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism, which they obtained from 2001 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Writing Seminars from The Johns Hopkins University from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Rachel has obtained several certifications such as a Certificate in User Experience from the Nielsen Norman Group in March 2023, and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from ASAE in January 2023. Rachel also holds certifications in Leading in a Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive Culture from the American Management Association in February 2022, the Society of Publication Designers Creative Lab from Mastering New Skills for Professionals in February 2021, and the Women's Leadership Certificate Program from the American Management Association in May 2019. Furthermore, Rachel has acquired skills in HTML, CSS, and Web Design through the HTML, CSS and Web Design Circuit program offered by General Assembly in March 2019. Lastly, they completed their Leadership Academy training from The Poynter Institute in October 2018.
