Agnès served as the Chief Engineer / Earth observation at the Norwegian Environment Agency from August 2018. In this role, they coordinated earth observation activities, led a transversal team, and promoted and implemented remote sensing techniques for environmental reporting, mapping, and monitoring. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Engineer at the NVE - Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate from February 2015 to May 2017. Agnès also has experience as a GIS Specialist / hydrologist at Statkraft Energi AS. Agnès Moquet-Stenback worked as a Project Manager web software / extranet at LORCA - Agricultural cooperative from 2007 to 2013, where they were responsible for user support and training, implementing solutions, and identifying opportunities for web services/software development and improvement. During their time at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) (ex- CRPGL) from 2005 to 2006, they served as a Research engineer in GIS / remote sensing, working on projects related to remote sensing in flood forecasting and agriculture. Agnès also provided technical support in remote sensing, spatial analysis, and cartography. In addition, they worked as a Research engineer in GIS at the French National Institute of Agricultural Research from June 2004 to February 2005 and as a Research trainee in remote sensing at Irstea from April 2003 to September 2003, focusing on remote sensing data analysis and natural habitats.
Agnès Moquet-Stenback attended Janson de Sailly from 1997 to 2000, where they studied Biology, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as part of their Classes préparatoires. Agnès then went on to enroll at ENSAIA - Engineering Elite School for Agriculture and Food Science from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained their Master of Sciences and Engineering (M.Sc.Eng.). During their time at ENSAIA, they focused on agronomy, environment, geomatic, GIS, and remote sensing. Agnès Moquet-Stenback later pursued further education at AgroParisTech and completed the SILAT - AgroParisTech Executive program from 2003 to 2004, specializing in Project Management in Geomatic. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Monitoring Atmospheric Composition from EUMETSAT, COPERNICUS ATMOSPHERE MONITORING SERVICE (CAMS) AND ECMWF in January 2019.
