Emma Skou Petersen

Emma Skou Petersen is an experienced AC tekniker at Miljøstyrelsen since January 2022. Prior to this position, Emma contributed to Aarhus Vand A/S as an Erhvervsprojekt, focusing on the removal of pharmaceutical residues from wastewater and creating a benchmarking report on advanced treatment technologies. Emma's prior roles include specialestuderende at Krüger A/S and Teknologisk Institut, where collaboration with interdisciplinary teams led to sustainable process optimization related to pharmaceutical residue removal. Additional experience includes a position as a student helper at Aarhus Vand A/S, providing guided tours and translating expertise in wastewater treatment and water supply for various educational levels. Emma holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Aarhus University, along with a gymnasiel education with a strong emphasis on mathematics, chemistry, and biology.
