Joe Olson

Joe Olson is an experienced geotechnical engineer with a diverse background in civil and geotechnical engineering. Currently employed at Millennia Professional Services since June 2023, Joe previously worked for IDOT District 4 for a decade, focusing on geotechnical projects. Earlier roles include Senior Engineer at Ketchum & Eves, Manager of Engineering at Viper Mine overseeing engineering staff and mine operations, and Owner of Capitol City Engineering, Inc. responsible for civil and geotechnical services. Joe’s experience also encompasses senior positions at STS Consultants and PDC Technical Services, where responsibilities included landfill engineering and management of landfill gas systems. Joe holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in Engineering from Springfield College in Illinois.
