The Millennium Pipeline Company has been delivering natural gas to consumers for nearly two decades. In June 2007, Millennium received authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to commence construction. A year and a half later, that construction was completed, and on December 22, 2008, Millennium Pipeline went in service. Anchor shippers were National Grid, ConEd, Central Hudson Gas and Electric and Columbia Gas Transmission. The Pipeline, designed to deliver over 2.0 Bcf per day, is jointly owned by DT Midstream (52.5%), and TC Energy Corporation (47.5%) and is operated by TC Energy Corporation. Since entering service in 2008, Millennium Pipeline has delivered natural gas, provided jobs, and supported local economies throughout the state of New York. By utilizing its footprint along the highly populated and regulated NY state and Northeast corridor, Millennium is able to link domestically produced natural gas, and transport it across its 263-mile interstate pipeline, to serve markets across New York State and New England.
