Alex Shim

Alex Shim currently serves as the Mission Operations Engineering Team Lead at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, since April 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Spacecraft Operations Lead at Rocket Lab, where Alex managed an operations team and oversaw the development of critical flight and ground scripts, significantly enhancing mission performance. Previously, as a Systems Engineer at NovaWurks, Alex contributed to multiple missions through comprehensive systems engineering support and played a key role in mission readiness reviews. Early career experiences included positions at the Information Sciences Institute SERC and academic roles at Saint Louis University, culminating in a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from Saint Louis University.
