Nicholas-Tyler Howard

Nicholas-Tyler Howard is an Optical Engineer at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, since May 2022, previously holding the position of LIGO SURF Undergrad Research Fellow at Caltech from June 2021 to October 2022, focusing on Bayesian statistics for efficient low latency filtering methods related to LIGO alerts. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, studying reionization's effects on ultra faint dwarf galaxies, and an Optics Engineer Intern at Millennium Space Systems, where imaging and testing of satellite instruments were conducted. Additionally, Nicholas-Tyler was an Observational Astronomy TA at El Camino College, instructing on telescopes and astrophotography. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an Associate of Science in Physics from El Camino College.
