Lawrence Garcia

Lawrence Garcia has worked in various legal roles since 2000. Lawrence started their career as an Associate Attorney at Plunkett & Cooney, P.C. in 2000. In 2005, they became a Principal at Allen Brothers, PLLC. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Past President of The Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan. From 2010 to 2011, they were the Managing Member of Turfe & Garcia, PLLC. In 2011, they opened their own firm, GARCIA LAW GROUP PLLC. From 2018 to 2021, they were the City of Detroit Corporation Counsel at the City of Detroit. Currently, they are a Senior Counsel in the Employment and Labor Group at Miller Canfield.

Lawrence Garcia obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Duke University in 1992. Lawrence then attended the University of Michigan Law School, where they earned a Juris Doctorate (JD) in Law in 1995.
