Evelyn Uithoven

Evelyn Uithoven has a diverse range of work experience in the field of environmental health and safety. Evelyn currently works as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist at MillerKnoll since May 2022. Prior to this, Evelyn worked at Michigan State University as an Industrial Hygienist and Chemical Safety Technologist from January 2019 to April 2022. In these roles, they managed safety programs, conducted hazard assessments, responded to emergencies, and promoted compliance through media campaigns. Before joining MSU, they worked at Central Michigan University as an Environmental Health Safety Coordinator from May 2017 to January 2019, where they oversaw hazardous waste storage and disposal compliance. Evelyn also held various roles at Central Michigan University, including Student Assistant to the Environmental Coordinator, Student Athlete, Student Athlete Academic Tutor, and Leader Advancement Scholar. Furthermore, they gained research experience as a Water Quality Research Intern at the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe's Planning Department, where they conducted water sample collection and analysis, performed lab procedures, and contributed to the creation of a database for best management practices communication.

Evelyn Uithoven has a solid educational background. In 2008, they graduated from Spring Lake High School. Evelyn then pursued higher education at Central Michigan University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Health & Safety in 2015. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the same university between 2015 and 2017.
