Jen Mackall has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Most recently, they worked as a Sr. Strategist in Research + Insight at MillerKnoll. Prior to that, they spent several years at Herman Miller, where they held various positions including Sr. Strategist in Research & Insight and Design Strategist. Jen also worked as a Research Communications Architect, where they developed tools, processes, and standards for research operations. Earlier in their career, Jen worked as an Environmental & Social Sustainability Research Associate at The Ohio State University and held teaching and research assistant positions at Cornell University. Jen began their career as an Interior Designer at NELSON Worldwide (formerly FRCH Worldwide) and completed an internship at LOTH, Inc as a Workplace Design Intern.
Jen Mackall holds a diverse educational background with degrees and certifications in various fields. Jen obtained a Master of Science in Human-Environment Relations: Environmental Psychology, with a Minor in Nutritional Sciences, from Cornell University. Jen attended Cornell University from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they briefly studied Human Factors Psychology at Wright State University in 2010. Jen earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, with a Minor in Ceramics, from Miami University between 2003 and 2007.
Apart from their degrees, Jen also holds certifications in Systems Thinking from Cornell University, which they obtained in August 2019, and in Permaculture Design from the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute, acquired in 2013.
