Head of Risk at MillTechFX

Justin Xu, PhD, CQF, FRM, IMC has extensive experience in the finance industry. Justin currently serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Association of Financial Executives in the UK. Additionally, they are the Head of Risk at MillTechFX by Millennium Global, where they oversee the firm's risk management framework and chairs the monthly risk committee meetings. Prior to this role, Justin was the Head of Risk at Millennium Global Investments Limited.

In 2017, Justin was a Partner at BTM Global Partners LLP. From 2014 to 2017, they held the position of FX Quantitative Manager at Millennium Global Investments Ltd., where they focused on portfolio VaR, scenario analysis, stress testing, and FX option strategies. Earlier in their career, Justin worked as an FX Risk Analyst at Millennium Global Investments Ltd., specializing in portfolio VaR, scenario analysis, stress testing, and FX options.

Justin has also been an Invited University Guest Speaker at various UK universities and previously worked as a Lecturer in Financial Economics at the University of Glasgow.

Justin Xu holds a PhD degree in Financial Econometrics from Lancaster University, which they obtained from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed an MSc degree in Finance (Distinction) from the same university in 2006. In addition to their formal education, Justin Xu has obtained several certifications, including a Machine Learning Specialization from Stanford University in March 2023. Justin also holds certifications in various areas such as Metaverse, Decentralized Finance, Incident Response Planning, Cybersecurity, Agile Foundations, Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls, and many more, all from reputable institutions such as LinkedIn, Meta, and Duke University.
