Joakim Hjeltström

Joakim Hjeltström is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on mechanical design and systems engineering. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic R&D Department at Milrem Robotics since December 2018, Joakim has held various roles including System Engineering Manager and Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Type X Robotic Combat Vehicle. Prior experience includes positions at ÅF as a Mechanical Designer, and as a Consultant with Björnavagnar AB for BAE Systems Hägglunds, where expertise in driveline design and advanced engineering solutions for military applications was developed. Joakim holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, completed in 2011.
