In this role, they oversaw and performed installations of point-of-sales systems, sound systems, servers, and satellite internet. Justin also handled various construction tasks such as running conduit, pulling cable, and configuring the server.
In 2005, Rister joined J&S Construction as a Lead Framer. Justin managed a crew of four in new home and remodel construction projects. Their responsibilities included reading blueprints, framing, and performing finish work on both exterior and interior areas.
Rister then moved on to Milsoft Utility Solutions in 2009, where they served as the Director of Information Technology. Their main duties involved the day-to-day maintenance of the company's network and servers. Justin troubleshooted issues ranging from PCs to routers and provided help desk support to remote employees and customers.
