Doug Melvin

Special Assistant - President, Baseball Operations at Milwaukee Brewers

Doug Melvin has been the General Manager of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club for 19 years and 10 months. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of the team's baseball operations, including player personnel, scouting, and farm system development. Under their leadership, the Brewers have made the playoffs three times and won the National League Pennant in 2011. Prior to joining the Brewers, Melvin served as the Director of Player Personnel for the Texas Rangers from 1994 to 2002. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the Rangers' player development system, including scouting, player development, and minor league operations. Prior to joining the Rangers, Melvin worked in various scouting and player development roles for the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays.
