Thomas Schwanebeck

Thomas Schwanebeck has a vast and diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Thomas began their career as a Staff and Senior Auditor at Reilly Penner & Benton, LLP from 1995 to 1999. Thomas then worked as a Senior Accountant at Industrial Electric Wire & Cable, Inc from 1999 to 2005. After that, they served as an Accounting/Payroll Manager at The Boelter Companies, Inc from 2005 to 2006. Thomas then became a Financial Controller at Cary Francis Group, Inc from 2006 to 2011. Following that, they worked as an Accounting Manager at Integrated Merchandising Systems, LLC from 2011 to 2012. Thomas then transitioned to Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI, where they worked as a part-time Lead Accountant from 2013 to 2014, taking on additional responsibilities such as reconciling accounts and completing financial statements. Most recently, they have been employed at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, starting as a Senior Accountant in 2014, before being promoted to Director of Finance in 2020. Thomas currently holds the position of Associate Vice President of Finance, where they are responsible for developing processes and improving financial communication within the organization.

Thomas Schwanebeck completed 28 advanced-level credits in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, which they attended from 1985 to 1991. In 1998, Thomas obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Wisconsin.
