Paul Vulto

Paul Vulto is the Chief Executive Officer, board member, and founder of MIMETAS, a global leader in human-relevant tissue and disease modeling, where proprietary OrganoPlate technology is employed to replicate human physiological complexity. Vulto is also a Fellow at the Netherlands Academy of Engineering and has a rich academic background that includes a postdoctoral position at Leiden University, where supervision of PhD students and development of analytical chemistry techniques were key responsibilities. Previous roles include General Manager at ScienceWorks BV, PhD Researcher at the University of Freiburg focusing on Lab-on-a-Chip devices, and Microfluidics Engineer at Silicon Biosystems. Vulto holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Microsystems Engineering from The University of Freiburg, a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente, and completed a certificate program in Immunology at Harvard Medical School.
