Yakup Akbay

Yakup A. is an accomplished Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems, automation frameworks, and cloud computing. Currently at Mimosa by Airspan since April 2015, Yakup contributes as a key member of the Embedded Systems Platform and Cloud teams. Previous roles include Lead Principal Software Engineer at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, where leadership of firmware development for Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Touch Screen Controllers was accomplished, alongside managing diverse teams. Earlier experiences at Ubicom involved software development for microcontrollers and implementing UPnP IGD for routers. Initial positions included embedded software development for industrial machines and Internet Phone technology. Yakup holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from Dokuz Eylul University.
