Lade Smith Cbe

Lade Smith CBE currently serves as the President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a Member of the Board of Trustees at Mind. With extensive experience as a Clinical Director at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and a Consultant Psychiatrist for the South London Partnership, Lade Smith has led significant initiatives in forensic psychiatry, including the establishment of the Single Point of Access and timely referral responses. As a visiting senior lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience and Programme Leader for the MSc in Clinical Forensic Psychiatry, Lade Smith has contributed over 70 research publications and played a crucial role in educational development. Previous roles include Clinical and Strategic Director at the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Clinical Advisor at Rethink Mental Illness.
