Mike O'Hara

Mike O'Hara is a co-founder and director of training at Start Within, where responsibilities include serving as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a Suicide First Aid Tutor since November 2019. In addition, Mike holds the position of Vice-Chair of Trustees and Trustee at the Rees Foundation since July 2024, and contributes as a Mental Health/Workplace Wellbeing Trainer and Consultant for Mind, providing training and consultancy services to multiple Mind organizations. Mike is also an Advisory Board Member for the Ripple Suicide Prevention Charity as of February 2024. Prior experience includes various roles within the Royal Air Force from September 2009 to April 2023, culminating in the position of Training Development and Standards Manager. Mike's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Terrorism and Security from The University of Salford, along with A Levels from the University of Westminster and 11 GCSEs from Manningtree High School.
