Kevin Hammer

Kevin Hammer is currently the VP of Engineering and IT at MIND Research Institute. Kevin has held this position for 8 years and 6 months, during which time they have mentored other engineers, made high-level design choices, dictated technical standards, and trail-blazed procedures and processes for the engineering team. Kevin has also done research and development on new technology platforms.

Prior to their current position, Kevin was an Application Architect at Hammer Labs, where they specialized in rich web applications built in JavaScript and Flash. Kevin managed a team of developers on a variety of web projects for companies like Disney, the Natural Theirtory Museum of Los Angeles, the YMCA, and Adobe. Kevin also consulted on application hardware and software infrastructure design and implementations, incorporating cloud networking into existing networks and helping other development teams learn best practices for software project management. Kevin was with Hammer Labs for 11 years and 11 months.

Before that, Kevin was an Enterprise Flash Development Consultant with The Walt Disney Company | Interactive Media Group. Kevin helped to build a Flex based CMS front end for Disney's custom Java based CMS repository. Kevin also built several flash components used on the disney.com web sites, including the 3d carousel used on the home page. Kevin was with The Walt Disney Company for 2 years.

Kevin has also served as the CTO of mEgo Inc., a Rich Media Consultant with Toyota, and a Freelance Developer with Razorfish. Kevin has been an IT Consultant with Superior Homes and a Senior Developer with divine/marchFIRST. Kevin began their career as a Network Administrator with TRW, where they worked for 3 years.

Each of these colleagues has a different role within the company, but they all work together to help Kevin Hammer with their job as VP of Engineering & IT.
