Penny Dakin

Penny Dakin serves as the Executive Director of Communities at the Minderoo Foundation since January 2024. Previously, Penny held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth from January 2019 to January 2024, following roles as Program Coordinator and Senior Consultant for A Village for Every Child and Insight Consulting Australia, respectively. Penny's earlier tenure at the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth included roles as Program Director and Senior Research Manager from November 2014 to July 2017. Additionally, Penny worked as an Assistant Director at the Australian Government Department of Health from September 1999 to October 2014. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The Australian National University and ongoing studies towards a Bachelor's degree in Social Work at the University of New England.
