Tishana Griffith MSN, PMHNP-BC, is an experienced, board certified mental health care professional who is committed to providing individualized care to persons across the life-span. Professionally, in her role as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she considers herself an agent of care to our society’s most vulnerable individuals. Personally, she possesses a great ardor in providing optimal restorative healing to others.
Very early, she discovered her natural interest in human beings, and the essentials needed to remain holistically well. She entered the mental health field as a paraprofessional caring for special needs children and adolescents, after acquiring her undergraduate degree in Psychology at CUNY Hunter College. As a Registered Professional Nurse in the specialties of medical surgical, ambulatory care and inpatient psychiatry, she was empowered to reach and care for individuals medically and psychiatrically and have stood the role of an educator, advocate, leader and friend. Out of all of these experiences, her most cherished and fulfilling moments involved assisting others to attain an improved sense of well-being, by way of taking the time to listen and helping others to realize their potential.
What makes her form of clinical practice unique goes beyond specialized knowledge in behavioral sciences, but her acknowledgement of the interconnectedness between mind and body and the importance of respectful partnership between client and clinician to achieve optimal wellness.
