Aaron Portnoy

Aaron Portnoy is a recognized expert in artificial intelligence security, currently serving as the Head of Research & Innovation at Mindgard since July 2025. Prior experience includes positions as a Hacker Fellow and Hacker-in-Residence at Dartmouth College, Program Director for Applied Research at IBM from June 2022 to May 2025, and Director of Research and Development at Randori, an IBM Company, from October 2020 to June 2022. Previous roles also encompass Director of Research at Boldend, Sr. Principal Cyber Engineer at Raytheon, Co-Founder and CTO of Exodus Intelligence, and Manager of Security Research at Zero Day Initiative. Portnoy began a career in security research as an intern at VERISIGN in 2005 and has amassed significant expertise over nearly two decades in various capacities within cybersecurity and AI.
