Richard Bennett is an accomplished environmental professional with significant experience in managing environmental strategies and sustainability initiatives within the mining, cement, and construction sectors across Latin America. Currently serving as the Environmental Manager at Minera Candelaria since October 2025, Richard previously held various leadership roles at Grupo Cbb, including Environmental Assistant Manager and Environment & Sustainability Corporate Lead, where responsibilities spanned strategic permit management, compliance with environmental regulations, and community relations. With a strong foundation in environmental science and management from prestigious institutions, Richard's educational background includes a BSc in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and multiple diplomas focused on business management and climate change resilience. Prior roles also include leadership in environmental permitting at Compañía Minera del Pacífico and marine research at the Center for Advanced Studies in Ecology and Biodiversity.
