Alek Oliver

Alek Oliver is a skilled mining engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the mining industry. Currently serving as a Senior Mining Engineer at Mineral Resources Limited since October 2023, Alek previously held positions as a Mining Consultant at Advanced Mining Production Systems from May 2023 to October 2023, and as a Drill & Blast Engineer at Newmont Corporation from July 2017 to May 2023, focusing on drill and blast design and scheduling. Additionally, Alek served as a Senior Short Term Planning Engineer and Production Engineer, gaining expertise in open pit operations and production scheduling at Newmont and Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines, respectively. Alek began the career as a Graduate Mining Engineer and Assistant Surveyor, solidifying a strong foundation in mining and mineral engineering with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Curtin University.
