Merela Japheth

Merela Japheth is an experienced professional in the mining sector, currently serving as an Assistant Inspector of Mines with the Minerals Commission of Ghana since April 2021, following previous roles as an Assistant Officer and a Graduate Geologist. Merela's expertise includes pre-licensing inspections for artisanal small-scale mining, compliance monitoring, and technical report writing. Prior experience includes a position as a Weighbridge Operator at Ghana Manganese Company Ltd. and a Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Urban Roads. Merela holds a BSc. in Geological Engineering with a focus on Geostatistics from the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, and is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Mining Engineering at the same institution.
