Ari-Pekka Laakso

Ari-Pekka Laakso currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Specialty Minerals Nordic Oy Ab since April 2024 and has been a Senior Director of Business Development at Minerals Technologies Inc. since May 2016, overseeing global initiatives for new minerals and business growth strategies. Previously, Ari-Pekka held several key positions at Specialty Minerals Inc. from 1995 to April 2016, including Director of Business Development and Global Director of R&D, with a focus on product innovations and market development, particularly in Asia. Earlier experience includes roles at Omya as a Product Manager and at Valmet as a trainee. Ari-Pekka holds an eMBA from Turku School of Economics, a certificate in Accounting and Finance from The Wharton School, and a Master's in Chemical Technology from Åbo Akademi University.
