Hengameh Omrani has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Hengameh started their career in 2001 as a Teaching Assistant and Experimental Laboratory Instructor at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, where they trained undergraduate students and conducted research in synthesis methods.

In 2002, Hengameh Omrani became a Research Associate at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, where they focused on applied thermodynamic studies and chromatographic techniques.

From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a University Instructor, teaching various subjects and conducting research on osmotic properties and chromatography.

In 2006, Hengameh Omrani joined Gastops as a Research Associate, where they analyzed methods for detecting contamination in aviation fuels and developed calibration algorithms for sensory products. Hengameh later became a Project Scientist, leading the development and testing of X-ray fluorescence spectrometers and studying antioxidant depletion and chemical transformations in hydrocarbons. Hengameh also served as a Lead Chemist, developing health monitoring methods for machinery fluids.

In 2019, Hengameh Omrani joined MineSense Technologies Ltd. as a Sensors Team Lead. In this role, they managed a multidisciplinary R&D team and selected suitable technologies for the development of new sensor products. Hengameh also established consistency between scientific research programs and market use cases. In 2021, they were promoted to Director of Sensors/Applied Research Team, where they ensured a continuous flow of research and innovation for technology development plans.

Throughout their career, Hengameh Omrani has demonstrated expertise in research, product development, team leadership, and innovation.

Hengameh Omrani completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry at the University of Tabriz from 1995 to 1999. Hengameh then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry, specializing in Physical Chemistry, at the University of Kerman from 2000 to 2002.

In 2010, Hengameh Omrani enrolled at Queen's University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry with a focus on Physical Chemistry. Hengameh'sdoctoral studies at Queen's University lasted from 2010 to 2014.

Additionally, Hengameh Omrani attended the Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences, where they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Hengameh completed this program in 2017, although the exact start date is not provided.
