Freek Bijl began their career in 2003 as a Bedrijfsleider at Eetcafe de Poort. Freek then moved to SAP Media in 2005 as a Projectleider, where they were responsible for developing two websites. In 2006, they took on the role of Strategy Consultant at Clockwork. Freek then joined Valtech in 2008 as a Valtech Fellow, and eventually worked their way up to Group Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. In 2022, they became the Co-Founder & CEO of Mingle Sport, a sportstech startup focused on grassroots ball sports.
Freek Bijl received their VWO diploma from Slauerhoff College in 1998. Freek then went on to Utrecht University, where they earned a BSc in Sociology in 2005 and a MaA in Management, Communication & Policy in 2006.
