Asrul Sani Abdullah

Asrul Sani Abdullah has extensive work experience in the field of RF engineering and product engineering. Asrul Sani most recently worked as a Product Engineering Manager at Mini-Circuits, starting in September 2020. Prior to that, they were with Broadcom Inc. from 2016 to 2020, where they held the position of RF Application Engineer/Manager. In this role, they managed a team of engineers and technicians, and was responsible for resolving technical issues related to RF front end modules and filters on handsets. Asrul Sani also designed the first nonlinear performance test on RF Front End modules in Penang.

Before their time at Broadcom Inc., Asrul Sani Abdullah worked at Avago Technologies from 2007 to 2015, where they held the position of RF Application Engineer. During this time, they managed a team and had worldwide responsibility for Multi Market products. Asrul Sani also solved technical issues related to base station products and handset filters encountered by the factory and customers.

Prior to their role at Avago Technologies, Asrul Sani Abdullah worked at Avago Technologies from 2001 to 2006. Asrul Sani held the position of RF Application Engineer (Specialist) and was responsible for creating application notes, designing demonstration boards, and creating product ADS models for simulation on RF general products mainly for the base station market.

Asrul Sani Abdullah started their career at Agilent Technologies in 2000, where they worked as a Product Engineer. Asrul Sani led yield improvement initiatives and initiated quality improvement projects on RFIC products. Asrul Sani also solved quality and reliability issues on RFIC products.

Before Agilent Technologies, Asrul Sani Abdullah worked at HP from 1997 to 2000 as a Product Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for transferring product engineering responsibility on Silicon RFIC products and improving engineering analysis on RFIC products. Asrul Sani also visited customers in Japan and Korea to solve product quality problems.

Asrul Sani Abdullah began their education at SDAR from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Spm degree in science. Asrul Sani then pursued a BSEE degree in RF and Microwave from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, attending from 1994 to 1996. Later on, they completed an MSc in Electronic Design System Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia during the period of 2003 to 2005.
