Senior Game Designer at Miniclip

Gabriel Veiga has a diverse work experience in the game development industry. Gabriel started their career as a Computer Hardware Technician assistant at Câmara Municipal de Mafra in 2007. In 2013, they worked as an Intern Game Developer and later as a Freelance Game Developer at Battlesheep. Gabriel then joined Electronic Arts (EA) in 2014 as a Localization Tester (PT-BR). Gabriel became self-employed in 2015, working as a Freelancer on various projects, including level design, pixel art, scripting, and QA testing. From 2016 onwards, Gabriel worked at Miniclip, where they started as a Games Tester and gradually progressed to Junior Game Designer, Game Designer, and ultimately to the role of Senior Game Designer. During their time at Miniclip, they worked on notable projects such as 8 Ball Pool, Doodle Army 2: Mini Militia, and agar.

Gabriel Veiga completed their Bachelor's degree in Digital Game Design from Instituto Politécnico de Bragança between the years 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. In addition to their formal education, Gabriel obtained several certifications including "Accountability," "Personal Development Plans," "How to Contribute to Meaningful One-to-Ones," and "SMART Objectives and Actionable Feedback" from Consulting House in 2017. Gabriel also holds a "Certificate in Advanced English" from the British Council, which they achieved in 2007.
