Sammy Libos

Sammy Libos is a professional with extensive experience in fiscal policy and economic analysis, currently serving as an Asesor and Subdirector de Política Fiscal at Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público since July 2016. Libos has been involved in the analysis of Colombia's national fiscal policy and the development of related initiatives. Additionally, Libos focuses on the real sector of the Colombian economy, examining sector performance and labor market projections. Since May 2024, Libos has been a member of the board of directors at Bancoldex, and previously served on the board at ElectroHuila from August 2021 to April 2024. Earlier roles include consulting at OECD Development and working as a research assistant at Econ Estudio. Sammy Libos holds a Master's degree in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration in Economic Policy Management at Columbia University's SIPA, expected to complete in May 2025.
