Javier Campillo currently serves as Viceministro de Energía at the Ministerio de Minas y Energía, responsible for the formulation and implementation of public policy in the energy sector, emphasizing sustainability and efficient resource use. Previously, Javier was the Director General at IPSE and held academic positions at Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar as Dean of Faculty and Associate Professor, focusing on Power Electronics and Sustainable Energy Systems. Javier's experience includes research at Mälardalen University during a PhD program, developing models for demand-response scenarios, and leading a project for a real-time energy information system in Cartagena. Javier holds a PhD and MSc in Energy and Environment from Mälardalen University, alongside a minor in Communication Networks and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar.
