Sebastian Canales A.

Sebastian Canales A. is a seasoned diplomat currently serving as the Cónsul de Chile en Sydney since February 2023. Previously, Sebastian held various significant roles within the Chilean government, including positions at ProChile as Asesor Gabinete Direccion General ProChile and Jefe Subdepartamento Sudamérica, and as Segundo Secretario at the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Chile. Further experience includes serving as Second Secretary/Legal Adviser/Cultural Attaché at the Embajada de Chile en Paises Bajos and as Consulado de Chile en Jordania. Sebastian's early diplomatic career began as a Tercer Secretario focused on the Unidad Consejo de Seguridad ONU. Educational qualifications include a law degree from Universidad de Valparaíso and dual Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees in International Law from Universidad de Chile and in Investments/International Trade from Heidelberg University.
