Jorge Rodriguez Cherigo

Jorge Rodriguez Cherigo is a seasoned professional in disaster management and international cooperation, currently serving as the Sub Director of the Academy of Civil Protection at the Sistema Nacional de Protección Civil. Since May 2016, Jorge has also held the position of Head of the Information Coordination Center (CECODI) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama. Previous experience includes serving as a Consultant for Post-Disaster Recovery Processes at PNUD and as Director of International Cooperation at the Sistema Nacional de Protección Civil. Jorge's career began in the private sector with Banco Cuscatlán. Jorge holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a focus on International Trade from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá and a specialization in Higher Education Teaching from UNICYT.
