Martha Ortega M.ed.

Martha Ortega, M.Ed., is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in language strategy, translation, and intercultural education. Currently serving as the Founder and Lead Language Strategist at White Canvas since 2023, Martha has also held the role of Official Translator and Interpreter for the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto de Costa Rica since 1999. As an IB Examiner for English A: Language and Literature since 2016 and a consultant for the University for Peace, Martha has demonstrated expertise in international educational standards. Previous positions include Academic Deputy at Blue Valley School and IBDP Coordinator at La Paz Community School. Martha's educational background features a Bachelor's degree in English, a Master of Education in Development of Critical and Creative Thinking, and a Translation Major, complemented by training in theater and scriptwriting.
