Petru Babuci has extensive experience in the field of finance and internal auditing, currently serving as Deputy Head and previously as Head of the PIFC Policy Division at the Ministry of Finance of Moldova since September 2004. Babuci has also held roles as Deputy Head and Senior Consultant within the same division, and has contributed to various projects as a consultant in public accounting methodology and as RTA counterpart in a Twinning Project. Prior to this, Babuci was the Internal Audit Manager at IM OMF Microinvest SRL from December 2013 to October 2016, focusing on the assessment of internal control systems to enhance governance and risk management. In terms of education, Babuci is pursuing a PhD in Internal Audit and Control at the Academy of Economic Sciences from Moldova, following a Master’s degree in Accounting completed in 2004.
