Emma Weston

Emma Weston is an experienced professional in the fields of verification services and compliance, currently serving as the Team Leader for Verification Services at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) since October 2017. In this role, Emma manages a team responsible for delivering high quality and nationally consistent services across 37 sectors related to food safety, certification, biosecurity, and live animals. Prior to this, Emma held the position of Technical Supervisor at MPI, where responsibilities included conducting verification and certification activities in line with New Zealand legislation and market access requirements. Emma's previous experience includes serving as Compliance Supervisor at AFFCO New Zealand Limited and Duty Manager at both Park View Motor Lodge and VR Hamilton. Emma holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biological Science from The University of Waikato and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Management from Southern Institute of Technology.
