Gary Orr

Gary Orr is an experienced professional in compliance and investigation services, currently serving as the Director of Investigations & Compliance Support at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) since October 2014. Previously, Gary held positions including Director of Compliance and Manager of Compliance Investigation Services at MPI, where responsibilities involved national delivery of investigation services, particularly regarding trans-national crime in the primary sector. In addition to these roles, Gary is the Compliance Operations Manager for the International Monitoring, Control & Surveillance (IMCS) Network since July 2020. Prior experience includes managerial roles at the Ministry of Fisheries and over two decades as a Police Officer with the New Zealand Police.
