Sally Johnston

Sally Johnston has over a decade of experience in biosecurity and regulatory risk assessment at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), where key roles have included Manager Risk Assessment and Manager Biosecurity Risk Advice, focusing on enhancing biosecurity risk management through science and assessment. Additional roles at MPI encompass Principal Adviser Systems and Programme Improvement, Director Programmes, and Manager Food and Beverage, where Sally has advanced organizational performance and customer experiences through change leadership and human-centered design. Prior positions held include Manager Compliance Audit at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Assistant Director Compliance at the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.
