Ladislav Faigl

Ladislav Faigl currently serves as the Head of the Water Management Policy Unit at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, a position held since September 2013, where responsibilities include water management planning, formulation of policy and legislation, and implementation of the Water Framework Directive alongside international cooperation efforts. Previously, Ladislav worked as an Officer in the same unit, contributing to river basin management plans and international collaborations with regional commissions. Experience also includes serving on the Supervisory Board of T.G. Masaryk Water Research Institute and as an Analyst at RegioPartner, focusing on regional socio-economic analyses and strategic planning for projects linked to the OECD and European Commission. Earlier roles include Project Manager and Head of the Translation Division at Link Language School, managing contracts and marketing projects. Ladislav holds a Master’s Degree in Geography and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography of Central Europe from Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
