Alan Vandermolen

Alan Vandermolen is an experienced professional in financial and policy management, currently serving as the Director of Entity Performance and Investment at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since August 2013. His career includes a secondment as Policy Director for Managed Isolation and Quarantine and prior roles such as Manager Insight and Design at Immigration New Zealand and Principal Advisor. Alan has also held significant positions at the Department of Internal Affairs and The Treasury - New Zealand, focusing on strategic finance and financial analysis. Earlier experience includes working as a Senior Accounting Policy Specialist at the International Atomic Energy Agency, where Alan redesigned financial statements and facilitated the agency's transition to International Public Sector Accounting Standards, as well as participation in the United Nations System Wide IPSAS Project Team. Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Law from the University of Auckland.
