Jonathan Lane

Jonathan Lane is a seasoned investment manager with extensive experience in science investments and funding management. Currently serving as a Senior Investment Manager at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since June 2014, Jonathan manages funding applications and contracts for key national science challenges and programs. Previously, Jonathan held the position of Senior Sector Manager, overseeing science investments in social and environmental research. Jonathan's career includes roles at The University of Auckland as a Fund Specialist, at the Tertiary Education Commission as a Senior Advisor focused on growth and innovation, and at the Department of Internal Affairs as an Advisor on gambling regulation. Jonathan began a professional journey as a freelance copyeditor in Brooklyn, New York, after earning a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Auckland.
