Hashem Alayed

Hashem Alayed serves as the Minister Consultant for Digital Transformation at the Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia since February 2021. Prior to this role, Hashem held various positions at King Saud University from August 2006 to September 2023, including Assistant Professor, Dean of the Deanship of e-Transactions & Communications, Vice Dean of E-Transactions and Communications, and Teaching Assistant. Hashem also worked as a Strategy Office Consultant at SDAIA from February 2020 to February 2021 and as an Analyst at Mobily from January 2005 to August 2006. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, obtained between 2007 and 2015, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from King Saud University, completed in 2005.
