Walid Obeidat

Walid Obeidat is a seasoned professional in the field of education with a focus on inclusive education and special needs. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist in the Inclusive Education Department at the Ministry of Education in the UAE since November 2021, Walid Obeidat is responsible for developing and reviewing policies related to inclusive education and establishing standards for the qualification and employment of educators working with students of determination. Prior to this role, Walid Obeidat held notable positions including Director of Inclusive Education and Diversity at Al Ittihad Private School - Al Mamzar, where initiatives for diversity, equity, and inclusion were developed and implemented. Experience as a Senior Autism Specialist and Special Education Teacher was gained in various educational institutions, including the Arabian Academy for Special Education and Special Education Academy. Walid Obeidat also holds a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Jordan, a Master's degree in Special and Inclusive Education, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Special and Inclusive Education at The British University in Dubai.
