James D. Yamoah Equis

James D. Yamoah EQUIS is an accomplished professional in the petroleum industry, currently serving as the Director of Petroleum at the Ministry of Energy since May 2022. With extensive experience at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, including roles as Chief Operating Officer, General Manager of Technical and HSSE, and Senior Exploration Geologist, James has overseen exploration projects and managed departmental budgets while driving the company's strategic initiatives. James holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience from Heriot-Watt University and a Master's degree in Finance and Strategy from The Manchester Metropolitan University, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Ghana and training in Global Leadership from Duquesne University.
