Sameera Chukkapalli Holmes

Sameera Chukkapalli Holmes is the Founder and Director of Needlab, a design research organization focused on addressing sustainability challenges through human-centered design strategies. Sameera also serves as an Obama Leader, connecting with emerging changemakers committed to community advancement, and holds academic positions as an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a Visiting Associate Professor at Pratt Institute, along with lecturing on social innovation at L'école LDLC. Previous experiences include participating as an exhibitor and speaker at the UN-Habitat Assembly, being a Fellow at Yunus&Youth and Fab City, and contributing as a designer for the CARPE LA Augmented Reality project. Sameera's education includes advanced degrees in Architecture from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia and B. M. S. College of Engineering, complemented by courses in interactive architecture at UC Berkeley.
