Michael Kiwanuka-Okot

Michael Kiwanuka-Okot is a seasoned economist currently serving as a Senior Economist in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development since October 2018. Prior to this role, Michael acted as a Council Member at Muni University, providing crucial advice on budgeting and financial planning. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as Director at the Uganda Wildlife Education Center, overseeing financial management as a Ministry of Finance representative, and working as an Economist within the Ministry of Finance, where responsibilities included budget analysis for key sectors. Michael began their career with the Office of the President, where administrative support was provided. Academically, Michael holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Williams College, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Makerere University, among other qualifications.
