Frederik van der Burg

Chief Information Security Officer at Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken

Frederik van der Burg has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Frederik started their career as a Systembuilder at Compricare in 1998 and then moved on to Laakhage Automatisering, where they worked as a Junior Network Administrator and Consultant. In 2001, they worked as a Technical Consultant at WapMeUp, followed by an interim Network/Systeembeheer role at Arcelor Mittal Steel/ISPAT. In 2005, they joined Your ICT Manager as a Senior Network Consultant. In 2011, Frederik became the Owner of QoS ICT Services until 2014. Frederik then joined the Ministerie van Algemene Zaken, where they worked as the CIO Adviseur before becoming the Chief Information Security Officer in 2018. In 2023, Frederik joined the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken as the Chief Information Security Officer.

Frederik van der Burg attended Mearlant College and Haagse Hoge school from 1995 to 2000. Throughout their education history, they did not obtain any specific degree or field of study. In 2016, Frederik obtained additional certifications including the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)².
