Lisette Den Breems

Lisette den Breems currently serves as the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since August 2023. Prior to this role, Lisette held the position of Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Economic Division at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Chile from July 2019 to July 2023. Additional experience includes serving as Deputy Head of Division in the Humanitarian Aid and Stabilisation Department at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, and working in various capacities within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the United Kingdom. Lisette began a career in the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken in 2000, which included roles as a Senior Policy Advisor and Political Affairs Second Secretary in Colombia. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Leiden University, a Diploma in Communicative Arabic from SOAS University of London, and a Propaedeuse in Environmental Science from Wageningen University & Research.
